GLOBAL ANTI-CORRUPTION RANK: Who’s leading the way?

  G lobal anti-corruption ranking is performed and annually published by Transparency International . Global Anti-corruption ranking refers to the actions and the data collection taken at the international level among all the country to combat corruption on global scale. The most famous and well known ranking related to corruption is “Corruption perceptions Index” (CPI) .Nowadays Corruption has become the global issue that often involves multiple countries, so for addressing it effectively requires the international cooperation and coordination. To create this Index Transparency International collects data from many source and countries are assigned scores ranging from 0 (Highly corrupt) to 100(Very clean or least corrupt). For what reasons does Corruption Happen? And how to minimize them?                             30th Sep, 2023 Early morning, I attended a session where the topic of discussion was “Corruption”. In the same session, we had a speaker who started with a question “Can you name any country or any place in the world where there is no shadow of corruption?” . The question itself was not hard but it really got me to thinking when none of the 50+ attendants could answer that simple question.
